As we deepen our commitment to the open source ecosystem and continue to push Avocado OS forward, it's important for us to give back to the communities that set the foundations for us to build upon. Today, we are excited to announce our sponsorship of the Open Source Summit in Vienna, as well as our membership in the Linux Foundation and the Yocto Project.

Sponsoring the Open Source Summit in Vienna: The Open Source Summit is one of the most significant events in the open source community, bringing together developers, technologists, and industry leaders to collaborate, share knowledge, and drive innovation. As a sponsor of this year's summit in Vienna, Peridio is demonstrating its commitment to supporting open source events and communities. Our team is looking forward to engaging with the community, sharing our experiences with Avocado OS, and learning from other open source enthusiasts. We believe that this event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our work, gather valuable feedback, and forge new partnerships within the open source ecosystem and Linux community.

Open Source Summit is the premier event for open source developers, technologists, and community leaders to collaborate, share information, solve problems, and gain knowledge, furthering open source innovation and ensuring a sustainable open source ecosystem. It is the gathering place for open-source code and community contributors.

The summit will be held on the 16-18 of September in Vienna, Austria, find out more here.

Joining the Yocto Project: The Yocto Project is an open source collaboration project that provides templates, tools, and methods to help developers create custom Linux-based systems for embedded products. As a company focused on embedded Linux development, and Yocto being the foundation for Avocado OS, joining the Yocto Project was a natural fit for Peridio. Our team is excited to collaborate with the Yocto Project community, share our knowledge and experiences, and learn from other experts in the field. We believe that this collaboration will not only benefit Peridio and Avocado OS but also the wider embedded Linux community. By working together, we can accelerate the development of cutting-edge embedded solutions and drive the adoption of open source technologies in the industry.

Joining the Linux Foundation: The Linux Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux and collaborative software development. By joining the Linux Foundation, Peridio gains access to a wealth of resources, including training, tools, and networking opportunities. We are excited to collaborate with other members of the foundation and contribute to the development of Linux and other open source projects. This membership also allows us to give back to the community by sharing our expertise and experiences with Avocado OS, while learning from the collective knowledge of the Linux Foundation's diverse membership base.

Giving Back

At Peridio, we are deeply committed to the open source ecosystem and the communities that drive its growth and innovation. By sponsoring the Open Source Summit, joining the Linux Foundation, and contributing to the Yocto Project, we aim to give back to these communities and play an active role in shaping the future of open source.
